Birmingham City Football Club is a professional football club based in Birmingham, England. Formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, they became Small Heath in 1888, Birmingham FC in 1905, finally becoming Birmingham City FC in 1943. At the end of the 2008-09 season, have been promoted from the Championship Football League to move its sixth season in the Premier League. As Small Heath, were founding members and first ever champions of the Football League Second Division. The most successful period in its history was in the 1950s and early 1960s. They achieved their best finish of sixth in the Primera Liga in the 1955-56 season and reached the FA Cup final 1956, advanced to the finals of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1960 and 1961 and won his only trophy Importantly, the League Cup in 1963, beating Aston Villa 3-1 on aggregate. They have spent most of its history in the highest level of English football, although its darkest era came between 1986 and 2002, when they were constantly out of the first division. This period includes two brief stays in the third tier of English League, during which time he won two Football League Trophy. The Small Heath Alliance members decided together that their colors are blue, in the early days, they wear blue shirt they had. His first uniform kit was a dark blue shirt with a white belt and white trousers. Several variations on a theme blue were judged which was stuck blue shirt with a white “V”, adopted during the First World War and continued until late 1920. Although the design changes, the royal blue remained. In 1971 it adopted the penguin “strip – royal blue with a broad white central front panel – which lasted five years. Since then they have used generally flat, nominally royal blue shirts, although the actual shade used has gradually become lighter with age. Shorts have been either blue or white, and socks either blue, white or a combination. The colors of the Birmingham strip change have varied greatly over the years, white or yellow (on their own or with blue or black) and red with white or black were the combinations used. Small Heath Alliance played their home games for the first time in a vacant lot on Arthur Street, Bordesley Green. As interest grew, they moved to a fenced in Ladypool Road, Sparkbrook, that the admission could be charged. A year later, he moved back to a field adjoining Muntz Street, Small Heath, near the main road from Coventry, with a capacity of about 10,000. Muntz Street was enough for friendly matches 1880s, and the capacity gradually increased to about 30,000, but when several thousand spectators to scale walls and broken turnstiles to enter a first division match against Aston Villa, became clear he could no longer cope with demand. Birmingham City is currently participating in the Premier League 2009-10 and entertained millions of fans around the world. Although not the best qualified, but still they are giving a lot of pleasure to the spectators.
